Senate Bill 187, passed by the 77th Legislature, required certain licensing agencies to collect information from their licensees and make this information available to the public through TexasOnline. The purpose is to provide the public with access to information about licensed professionals to allow them the ability to make better-informed decisions regarding their selection of service providers. For this, TexasOnline has developed the Professional Profiling System capable of gathering, storing and displaying professional profile information online.
